Something from Darrell

From the fitted hats and beanies down to the fresh kicks, its the life. Well to some of us it is, to others they wonder why we are so obsessed with it. They ask questions like why would you stand on line overnight to buy a pair of kicks when you can just go to foot locker during the day. That's it right there, we do not want to live the normal life. We rather live on the edge instead of playing it safe. It is an unique culture that anybody can try to live but only so few survive. Those that fail worry about their reputation. Yes your rep is a big part of life, but if you are not being yourself then the rep you live with is not yours anyways. Learn to be comfortable in your skin because at the end of the day nobody else really cares but you.

"I think street fashion is popping for the simple fact that it gives society's rebels a dress code. It gives street kids who can afford to pay $300 for a Gucci shirt away to get dressed also. Street fashion expresses the attitude of the young consumers who don't necessarily like the mainstream brands who are ran by an older generation who don't understand what street fashion or street life is"

"Street fashion is your introduction to the world, without saying hello. It's your statement; it defines you. It's in our rights, freedom of expression and street fashion is just a way of abiding by that."

"For the most part street wear right now is good.. I think the game right now is versatile and caters to every ones budget. My only dislikes really is the baggy and sloppy look but if that's you then that's you."

"Street fashion or fashion of any kind for that matter is a art of its own. Street fashion is not just a chain belt, high top kicks, skinny jeans and a bright tee shirt. Street fashion is fashion that you can feel! Brands such as Stussy, Kid Robot and Mishka gives you the same feeling as when you pop in your favorite CD or hear your favorite song on your MP3 or Ipod. The love that some people have for art, music, poetry is the same way some people live for fashion. It's basically some peoples way of life."
