Trends for Spring 2008

Spring is right around the corner which means one thing... SHOPPING!!! You have to stay in style and update the wardrobe... these are some of the must haves for this season..



DRESSES!
Not really a big fan of dresses but if its cute and very stylish I think I would fall for it.. You have the baby doll dresses, safari, one shoulder, wrap, printed and maxi dresses. Maxi dresses can be floaty, straight cut or transparent, color-blocked or with vibrant floral or tribal prints. One-shoulder dresses and tops are a big feature for this spring.









CARDIGANS!!
I love cardigans! I say just forget the sweater and bring the cardigans out for spring. They are so fun, flirty and have different styles from short sleeves, 3/4 and long sleeves..








BOLD ACCESSORIES!!!
I absolutely love accessories.. I have a big drawer full of them (no joke). This spring everything is bold, over sized jewelry, chunky bangles and metallic bracelets, bead jewelry and cocktails rings







BAGS!!!
Bags.. something a woman CANNOT go without! Whether is over sized bags from or small bags, multi color bags are huge this season.. Big, bold and colorsssss!!







SUNGLASSES!!!
Another of my favorite accessories that I can't live without.. Big shades that makes you feel like you a star or Ray Ban sunglasses risky business inspired, 80's inspired shades and Kanye West just to look fly..





SHOES!!!
Shoes! shoes! shoes! And I repeat Shoes! love love love them.. From flats to heels and ankle boots are actually my favorites right now. Shoes have defiantly become a way of expressing ones artistic likes... With wonderful shapes, and bold colors. One must put away the old black pumps, and step into the new wonderful world of color, patterns, and crazy designs!!! But can us regular women pull it off? hmm...









HIGH WAIST SHORTS/PANTS!!!!!!
High waist are innnn and not going anywhereeeee!! Well not yet anyway.. This year you'll see high waist shorts which are very comfortable and very lady like.. no pumpum shorts please.






FEDORAS!!
Very cute and definitely another of my favorite accessories




BRIGHT/BLACK TIGHTS!!
Patterned Tights and hose... I think they add so much texture to an outfit. I'm all for the black tights for Spring..

New Artist Spotlight

Sara Bareilles is my new favorite artist! Although her name looks french, she's actually an American born in December 7, 1979(she's a Sag!). She signed to Epic Records in 2005. Her fist studio album was "Careful Confessions" but she is now getting recognized for her work. Her new album "Little Voice" was number one most download albums in Itunes in the first week of release and debuted at #45 in the Billboard 200 charts. Due to the Rhapsody commercials which features her song "Love Song" her album jumped the charts from #73 to #16 and has been in the Billboard Hot 100's top 10. She has toured with big names such as Mika, Maroon 5 and James Blunt. So if you like Alicia Keys and Norah Jones I think you'll like Sarah..

YAY NEW EPISODES!

It's been weeks now since I've watched a new episode of "Gossip Girl". I absolutely LOVE this show, the outfits are simply amazing [ computer is a little out of control can't show you my favs =( ] but I've been highly frustrated until this monday I've realized the reason there hasn't been a new episode is because of the writers strike >:o!

According to Mediaweek the CW will be ordering new episodes of Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, Reaper, Smallville, Supernatural, and The Game. Super excited! So now we'll be getting new episodes. But Gossip Girl could be airing new episodes by August (gasps) that's a long wait!! But I guess we should be happy that this strike has come to an end and we'll be seeing our favorite shows soon..

As for Girlfriends, it looks like it's definately over: LIW is not producing new episodes and won't be returning, Girlfriends might wrap up its final season with a clip show(tears, tears). Kind of saw it coming tho with Tony leaving and all the drama. I wasn't really into it watching the show anymore, I guess The Game will be taking the new spot.
Will you miss the show, or do you think it was time for it to be put to rest?

This holiday is not one that I celebrate really.. I'll kindly accept chocolate and roses tho lol but seriously I haven't had a really good Valentine I'm still waiting. So for all you lovers out there.. get the gifts for your lady or your man ( it's not only for the ladies sorry to say =/ ), be safe.. make sure you practice SAFE sex you don't want to come out with an unexpected gift if you catch my drift.. And for us single ladies, night out with the girlfriends will do just great I know I will enjoy mine..

Merlyndia was born in Miami, FL on March 13, 1988 and raised in PAP, Haiti for 12 years. She came to the US in 1999. She's a very down to earth, easy going personality. She always had a passion for writing and fashion. THE GRAMMYS!!

So I'm late I know but we have to talk about the Grammys! The show was awesome! Couple things here and there but I loved it.. Some of the performances were great and some were ehhhh. But my girl Amy Winehouse grabbed 5 grammys! I was very excited about her performance. "My Blake" (in her voice) lol I loved it when she kept saying that throughout the whole performance. But let's get to the good stuff shall we?

My little adventures

Yesterday I had a photoshoot and I was a PINUP GIRL! I was very excite very excite (Borat voice) but the wait for the hair and make-up totally drained me and luckily when I got to the set everyone was cheering me up in a way so I was back on track. Just some pics that I snapped and want to share with you I can't wait to see the results and you'll def be the first ones to see it!

She's one of my favorite choreographer.After her issues with Diddy there was a rumor going around about her having her own show on MTV and also youtube videos with the preview of the show which I guess didn't run. GRAMMYS!!

The 50th annual Grammy Awards are on sunday and I can't wait!!! I look forward to it every year. The Red Carpet, performances, the chaos etc.. I am actually quite sad that one of my favs Amy Winehouse will not be attending the show but happy that she will be performing via satellite, with 6 nominees I hope she actually win something that should be some good news for her as far as her husband being in jail and her coke addiction (for some odd reason most of my favs are eitha in rehab or doing someting bad hmm something to think about? lol)

I can't wait to see what Kanye West performance will be like, which will be dedicated to his mother. Rihanna will also perform.. can't wait to see that maybe she'll bring out her boo Chris Breezy hmmm. Beyonce suppose to do a superfantastic performance with Tyna Turner! Whattttt?? Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige and many many many more. I hope you will be watching sure know I will be posted to check out the red carpet.. Until then

School, meetings here and here, work, trying to keep a social life and boys (yea that's right I said BOYSS!) that's what I've been dealing with for the past week. Basically a typical 20 year old life, trying not to get tooooo stressed out. But I'm BACKKKK! Releasing some stress through my writing. Sighs*
