Last year, me and couple if my friends participated in FNO and it was a pretty awesome experience. We walked the streets of Manhattan, shopping, eating, drinking and most of it all seeing all the celebrities, designers and fashion gurus. I don't think I got a chance to blog about it last year, but this year I got my camera ready - well my Blackberry camera at least and I'm ready to take some pictures.
I'm still working on my itinerary, last year we had one but yet we found ourself all over the place. We ran into Rihanna, Patricia Field (my favorite), Amber Rose, Kid Cudi and I even got to do my model walk for Miss Jay of ANTM.
I am uber excited that they are doing this again this year, I got my bag
Hellz Bellz designed a limited shirt in honor of Alexander McQueen. Portion of the proceed will go to the foundation that he was involved in Whatever it takes. I think I might get one. It's a pretty cool shirt. If you want to purchase one go here
You've probably been seeing all the celebs rocking some thigh high boots recently and it's looking like it might be the new trend and everyone is talking about it so here's my input.
Thigh high boots have been around for a while now a lot of designers are bringing it back for this Fall season. I personally am not a big fan of thigh high boots. Boots overall actually, let me rephrase high heels boots I have no problems with flats boots. Never found one that was super sexychic for me to buy or fall in love with but these thigh high boots are to die for in my opinion. I'm still trying to figure out if its a go for us short girls because the only celebs I've seen rocking them are tall. The only person I've seen wearing thigh high boots which I believe is short is celebrity stylist June Ambrose, she recently got the Gucci ones and wore them on the set of one of her photoshoot.
And Rihanna was recently seen out with these Stella McCartney boots
Ciara been seeing around with those Christian Louboutin ones. I think these were the ones that made me want to get a pair and the Gucci ones also
Ashanti was wearing the Louis Vuitton boots which I don't think I am a big fan of and not a big fan of that look either
If you're feeling the trend but don't want to break your wallet for these 1000 dollars ish boots here's some alternative:

It's been a while since I've been shoe shopping. Well shopping period because of my schedule. But Marshalls gave me a good opportunity to get back. I've always been skeptical about Marshalls near me because there's always a cluster and if you live in Queens you know the locations, the one in Elmont which I think is a good one, one that they recently opened on Jamaica Ave and the one on Queens BLVD which is my fav. Marshalls have the new Shoe MegaShop fall fashions, top designers for unbelievable prices! So Thursday I went there with my friend Vanessa and see what they have.
First thing I noticed was some Coach flats for $99.99. They had it in 4 different colors, they were pretty cute, simple and comfortable.
Then moved along and seen some cute Steve Madden and guess how much they were . . 10 bucks! Another Steve Madden shoes that I found, were all black leather open-toes booties. Loved them so I was thinking about getting them.
Tried them on .. they were $20! *Excuse my red stockings
Another pair of Steve Madden were these leopard open toes sandals. $25!
Then I went on to find these Nine West pair
Loved the heels
Then I found these AMAZING pairs of Jessica Simpson for $29.99 Green, purple and black suede. I went for the purple but unfortunely they didn't have my size so I tried on the 6. They were ok, little bit tight but I could've make it work until this happened Zipper got stuck, couldn't take them off so I had to struggle and slide it off.
Then saw these BCBGirls pair for $29.99, thought they were cute. Kinda remind me of these Chanel shoes.
And then finally my last pair. Steven again for $39.99
Love them! So I definitely brought them. I was so like a kid in a candy store in Marshalls shoe MegaShop, I absolutely love it! Shoes were everywhere and it wasn't that much cluster so it was easy to shop. You guys should check it out, you can find shoes to go to a New Year's Eve party, your office holiday party etc.
P.S. You guys can get a chance to win prizes from Marshalls such as a $250 gift cards by playing these games. You can just click on it and start playing. These games are fun too! Good Luck. Maybe you'll get a chance to shop there and get some great shoes
