Mixed Prints/Patterns

Today is the OFFICIAL first day of Summer. Finally! One of my favorite trends for this Spring/Summer is mixed prints.

I've been watching and also been scared to even try this trend. You must be very bold to wear this style because it is very tricky and daring. Personally, I would say this trend has no rules, you must go and have fun mixing patterns and prints. But if you don't want to try it and look like a fashion disaster here are some tips that I've noticed that can help you achieve the mixed print/pattern look without looking like a hot mess.

1. Mix similar patterns/colors
2. Make sure there's at least one or two color that repeats itself in each piece
3. Mix a small print with a bold bigger print
4. One of the easier way is by using an accessory to do the work.

I've been getting inspired by none other then my best friend in my head Rihanna

Here some more inspirations

This weekend, my friend had a graduation BBQ and in the midst of looking for something to wear I accidentally rocked the trend. I was pretty excited as you can tell

What are your thoughts on this trend and would you rock it?

Hello, Good Morning !

I must admit when I first hear about this Dirty Money thing I hated it. I didn't like their first single "Angels" at all so I thought yea Dirty Money will not get any love from me. But then they changed my mind with their second single "Love come down" and now "Hello, Good Morning" which I absolutely LOVE! Now their video version has Rick Ross in it made me love it even more.

In this video, the other member Kalenna is wearing the same leggings as we've seen Rihanna wearing recently. I thought it was from American Apparel but come to find out they are actually Givenchy. They retail for $631.

So if you want to get the same look as Rihanna or Kalenna I suggest you get the American Apparel ones, they are more recession friendly for only $34

Louboutin for Men

As you may know Christian Louboutin is all about the ladies. You see the red bottoms and you think Loubs. One of the most popular shoe brand that every fashionista should have in their closet. Now Christian is going to fellas for the Spring/Summer with studded sneakers, loafers and brogues. They are designed by none other then Swizz Beatz.

Pharrell was seeing wearing the white leather studded sneakers

And so was Rihanna

These are only available in black and white with a retail price of around $1200. Swizz has been tweeting photos of Louboutins collection for a while. Although these two does not seem very appealing to me, maybe it's just a bad picture, he also tweeted this picture which seem more captivating.

My favorites happen to be the freddy flats and the rollerball loafers

Kanye was seeing wearing the loafers during Paris Fashion Week

So fellas if you got it and think you can rock it join the fashionistas and get you a pair of Christian Louboutin

Laid back fashion

I love the Knowles sisters and I love laid back looks. While attending Coachella, Beyonce and Solange wore these outfits below that I really liked. Although I feel that Beyonce just went thru Solange closet and borrowed couple items, I still think she looks nice in her way. But they just made me super excited about summer.

These Chanel biker boots that she's wearing are to die for!

These Diane Von Furstenberg jellies looks cute and comfy. Perfect for a summer afternoon.

80's-90's

The 80's and 90's are my favorite era. I always wished I lived like actually wear the door knockers and gold chain, walking around with a huge boom box and have one of the coolest crews. V Magazine did this 10 page fashion spread where supermodels Liya Kebede and Lily Donaldson channels hip-hop artist such as Salt-N-Pepa, Lil Kim and MC Lyte.
How hot is the platform sneakers!?!
