What I wore to my job's Holiday party



Got this dress at my new fav vintage store in Astoria. I still don't know if I want to tell you guys about my spot. But thanks to my friend Tamara for bringing me there! The top part wasn't exactly like that, I had to beg my mom to sew it so it can stand & stay like that. But I looooooved my dress! & of course I got sick after, nose was stuffy & all but it wasn't anything big thank God.

The magazine finally came out like couple days before the party and I love it! I kinda worked hard in that issue, have a review about this play, a poem and I did this layout for gifts ideas for him and her, and let's not forget the fashion part. Oh My Gosh so last night I went to the movies to see "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"

You guys should definitely check it out this weekend. I loved it. It is kinda long, like freaking 3hrs! I couldn't feel my legs when it was over but it was totally worth it. It's a F. Scott Fitzgerald story about a man [Brad Pitt] born backwards, abandoned by his father and was raised by a black mother played by Taraji P. Henson. I was so dramatic watching this movie like I don't remember being so dramatic watching a movie unless it's a scary one, I know for a fact I talk mucho much during a movie specially when I go with my best friend Barbara .. don't get us started. But the make-up was so great like I was wondering how did they make him look so old then so young. I totally fell in love with Brad Pitt again [didn't like him after the divorce cause Aniston is my girl but Jolie is a bad ass tho]. There's some really funny parts too. I recommend it for this weekend if you haven't seen it yet.

p.s. is it sad that I brought myself a Betsey Johnson laptop bag but don't have a laptop? I mean I am going to get my Macsexy soon, like the bag is my inspiration but still ..

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas yall. Not Xmas but Christmas, the day Christ was born thank you very much. I just hate when people write it like that like seriously. This is my thing today if anyone texts me, send me an IM with it written like that I won't answer. That'll be rude? I don't know if I care really.

OMG been waiting for this day since God knows when.
But my plans are ruined as always, I'm not sweating it cause I'm like on some super dupper happy level. It's like freaking snowing soooo hard. Like why today tho? Smh. We'll see how tonight goes, hopefully I get to go out or do something. Least buy my first legal drink.

My b.day is in couple days. Going to be 21, BIG 21!
I just tried on my dress, its not finished yet all I can say is that it's not the color that you think it's going to be ;-)

So you know how much I love Britney Spears right? No matter how crazy she is sometimes I'm so glad she's back. Better than ever? I don't know but these last 2 singles she has out right now are awesome and I recently saw her video for "Circus" it's awesome! Love the choregraphy, the costumes etc.

Marshall's Shoe Mega Shop

It's been a while since I've been shoe shopping. Well shopping period because of my schedule. But Marshalls gave me a good opportunity to get back. I've always been skeptical about Marshalls near me because there's always a cluster and if you live in Queens you know the locations, the one in Elmont which I think is a good one, one that they recently opened on Jamaica Ave and the one on Queens BLVD which is my fav. Marshalls have the new Shoe MegaShop fall fashions, top designers for unbelievable prices! So Thursday I went there with my friend Vanessa and see what they have.



First thing I noticed was some Coach flats for $99.99. They had it in 4 different colors, they were pretty cute, simple and comfortable.


Then moved along and seen some cute Steve Madden

and guess how much they were . .

10 bucks!
Another Steve Madden shoes that I found, were all black leather open-toes booties. Loved them so I was thinking about getting them.


Tried them on .. they were $20! *Excuse my red stockings


Another pair of Steve Madden were these leopard open toes sandals. $25!


Then I went on to find these Nine West pair



Loved the heels



Then I found these AMAZING pairs of Jessica Simpson for $29.99

Green, purple and black suede. I went for the purple but unfortunely they didn't have my size so I tried on the 6. They were ok, little bit tight but I could've make it work until this happened

Zipper got stuck, couldn't take them off so I had to struggle and slide it off.

Then saw these BCBGirls pair for $29.99, thought they were cute. Kinda remind me of these Chanel shoes.


And then finally my last pair. Steven again for $39.99



Love them! So I definitely brought them.
I was so like a kid in a candy store in Marshalls shoe MegaShop, I absolutely love it! Shoes were everywhere and it wasn't that much cluster so it was easy to shop. You guys should check it out, you can find shoes to go to a New Year's Eve party, your office holiday party etc.

So this has been a while since I've seen celebrities wearing leather or pleather leggings but now it's becoming a big thing now. Constantly seeing celebrities wearing them and if you're at a party you probably seen at least one person in there with leather/pleather leggings.

*But please do remember that NOT EVERYONE CAN PULL THE LEATHER LEGGINGS LOOK!
Ok, so I actually liked the leggings thing. I have some leggings from American Apparel this is the ones that I have

Although it's giving me much "Grease"

I haven't gotten the chance to purchase my leather/pleather ones. But with the Nylon when I wear them, I do it with a shirt that covers my derriere or some part of it, I don't like wearing them if I can't find something that can cover my butt at least the top or half of it.
If you wanna dress it up and do the kinda sexy biker chic. You can wear them with a fluid top and chunky heels or booties.
